A lovely species from Majorca where it is now considered an endangered species. It is however fully hardy contrary to some people's beliefs!
Foliage consisting of several rich-green pointed leaflets which emerge bright red and all held on a rigid stem which can reach around 45 cms in height. That red colouration is held at all times on the lower leaf surface while in growth. Flowers are mid to pale pink with conspicuous yellow stamens and last for several weeks. Attractive dark seeds follow which are held in a bright crimson-red receptacle on opening. Lasts for many weeks if the birds don't take them!
Please be aware that these plants are young and will require a further year to reach flowering size and that the tubers are much smaller than typical for the genus.
