A hybrid hardy terrestrial orchid. Liking a moist situation in light shade and a soil of moderate fertility, this orchid will start into growth in mid spring. Leaves are lanceolate and deeply furrowed, pale green and around 15 cms long clasping the rigid stem which will rise to around 30 cms or so. The flowers are the obvious main attraction, and these are borne at the stem terminus, around 15 in number.
This is a very attractive orchid derived from the very large Epipactis veratrifolia and Epipactis gigantea.
