As of January 2019, Edrom Nursery no longer offers an on site retail outlet.
Plant may still be purchased at the many fairs and AGS shows which we attend or via mail order though this website. Alternatively, pre ordered plants can be collected from the nursery site given advanced notice.
You can now order online with Edrom Nurseries. Our secure payment system is powered by PayPal if you have an account with them or SagePay for card payments. Payments can be made by most cards. The payment process is handled by PayPal or SagePay, we do not see any of these details and we do not store them on this site. Telephone orders will need a card to complete the transaction. This will be taken via telephone but we do not store financial details at any time. Please note that payment will be taken at the time of ordering for your security, this dispenses with the need to access your card details again at dispatch time and is now considered standard.
You may print a copy of the online order form and post this form with payment. Please enclose an open cheque marked 'Not to Exceed' and followed by the total value of your order including the postage cost along the top of the cheque. The cheque will be completed on despatch of the plants and your invoice will confirm the exact amount. This is a safe method and cheques cannot be cashed by anyone else. We can accept many cards for offline ordering.
Please make cheques/Postal Orders payable to 'EDROM NURSERIES'. Should you wish to collect your order from the nursery a few days notice would be appreciated.
Our online catalogue includes plants of which a reasonable stock is normally carried. Some items however are in short supply and are likely to become sold out early in the season. We will endeavour to keep this on-line catalogue up-to-date, but if you have any queries please use the "Contact Us" link to check availability.
Substitutes will not be made with an open cheque unless requested. We reserve the right to substitute or offer a credit where cheques are made out in full.
You may cancel an order at any stage of the ordering process on the website with no charge. However, once you have entered your card details, your card will be debited immediately. If you wish to cancel an order please let us know immediately, preferably on the same day the order was placed. If you wish to cancel an order after 24 hours then a 2% fee may be charged. Cancellation for orders placed using a cheque will incur no charges.
Due to the nature of our product (live plants) we do not normally issue refunds. A replacement will usually be offered for dead or poor plants. If you feel this is unsatisfactory then please email us at mail@edrom-nurseries.co.uk or telephone 018907 71386 to discuss your requirements.
Returns
While we do accept returns, please contact us first to discuss the reason. If it's a plant which has been mislabeled, then we would normally advise you to keep the plant and we'll send out another. We will always do our best to keep you pleased with your purchase. A returned parcel without contacting us first will incur a charge of £8.50 to pay for the postage and packing.
If a return is required then we ask that you use the box which the plant(s) arrived in if it's in good condition or a new box which will suffice for the journey, adequate packing must also be used to stop the contents moving around in transit.
Complaints should be made within seven days of receipt of your order. No responsibility can be accepted for failure after planting as drought, pests and diseases all take their toll.
For customers perhaps receiving plants for the first time via mail order, we would recommend the following aftercare.
Open the parcel immediately. Remove all of the plants, carefully checking the labels to ensure no mixing where more than one variety has been sent. We recommend that the plants are planted immediately. However, if you feel that the conditions in your locale too inclement then we recommend that you water the plants and stand them in a cold glasshouse or sheltered place out of doors.
If the parcel has been held for a few days in a sorting office the plants will respire and maybe look etiolated. For best results please keep the unpacked plants in a light, frost-free environment to acclimatise. This may take two or three weeks.
