A reliable herbaceous alpine plant which provides a profusion of flowers in summer. The leaves are the first to emerge in mid spring, these are much divided and greyish green in colour arranged in a rounded compressed whorl type shape. The flowers are borne after the first leaves have opened, these are a pale pink in colour an quite large for the plant. The flowers are broadly trumpet shaped with a wide mouth.
Differs from O. enneaphylla in that these are around half the size in foliage but same flowering size.
