An easily grown herbaceous perennial from most of the Northern Hemisphere. Growing from slender rhizomes, it produces short stems which may trail to one side and have leaves in whorls around the stem, these being very aromatic. The flowers are borne in masses and are white with a scent of vanilla. The whole plant can be picked and dried or even used in cooking. When picked, it retains the aromatic scent. Sweet Woodruff.
