A seldom offered perennial with round scalloped foliage held on somewhat woody stems to a height of 40cms high, although in part shade it may reach a little higher. These are slightly hairy and occasionally sticky. Flowers are held in dense clusters at the stem tips, each is a rich purplish blue and quite showy when in full flower. The flowerhead is covered with soft bristly hairs, the flowers are up to 3cms long and pouch-like.
